I can't be the only person who thinks that Sinatra in his heyday was the coolest. Every photo/video I've seen of him, he was just so stylish and effortless; as the following article puts it - "The epitome of American coolness". Proof that fashion may be fleeting, but true style is timeless. Stumbled across this article this morning about Old Blue Eyes' lexicon and, it was quite surprising to see some of the words that he allegedly pioneered. When you think about them in their dictionary-form, they make no sense to be used in the way that he used them but he could get away with that.

How cool was Sinatra?!

(that blog is also good readin'!)

You can kinda understand it, though, can't you? I mean, if you're actually that cool - you don't just think you are, I think an ego is justified.

You're totally right, though. His actual personality seemed a bit rubbish.

edit: I say "if", but I'm sure you know what that's like :p

;)

Well recovered :D

But seriously, there are many, many stories where he was nothing but an evil sod. Like getting his wang out and peeing all over the counter of a hotel when they said they had no rooms for him.

His persona, his on stage aura, he was the best. Bar none. Off stage (apparently) he was a ****.

Imo, as cool as elvis. Over-rated musician with a legion of sad talentless gits after his passing doing impersinations. :(

Great in his day though. Basically, I feel he was good but nothing of a legend and should be left in the time he was in.

But hardly good management. Someone like that comes on and you say "Sorry mate, no room"?

Wasnt there something like this that happened to Elvis Presley. He turn round and said he'd just bought the place!?
