I actually posted this thread in the wrong forum, should have been the console forum. But anyway, I've connected it to the AV sockets of my 32" sammy and played a few games, it's excellent! Even though most of the games are circa 1993 platformers, they're still great fun and graphics are still quite acceptable, you must go and buy one. :)

I got a mega-drive with a bunch of built in games by this company too, I hope they fixed the bugs for this one!

On mine, the games seem to run about about 85% speed and the sound quality was a little 'off' :(

I'd get one, but blister packaging should be nuked from orbit. I'm not riskng my perfect manicure on that!

Cool, that is a good xmas present to get. I am lucky enough to still have my mega drive from back in the day!

Have some retro fun :)

I've kinda got A Sega thing going on in my bedroom.

Or an obsession. :D

Wow WatchTower, that's excellent! :D

My favourite games of the mega drive were Another World, Flashback (the sequel to another world) and Ecco the Dolphin.
I recently replayed Flashback with an emulator. And Another World has had a makeover with improved graphics, much much smoother and less jagged than the original. http://www.anotherworld.fr/anotherworld_uk/another_world.htm
I replayed that about a year ago and it reminded me just how hard some of those old games were compared to today. Have you got another world and flashback in your collection? :)

When I ran one of the games today on the handheld, I heard that famous intro where they sing " SEEE- GAAA". That takes me back.:p

Watchtower i had a 32x but what is that on the original megadrive and mega cd ?
Also is it possible to get sonic cd if that was the name (mega cd ) on emulation on the pc it was the only one i never finished it would certainly top the year off thats for sure :D

Edit . looked at pic seen it was a converter for master system games :)

Mate of mine got one of those all-in-one jobbies with Dragon Crystal on it, spent a fair bit of time reliving some Game Gear glory days on the telly.

The original Portable megadrive was called the Sega Nomad, that indeed would have been a cool present.

this is just... meh
