Cool Runnings Part 2

On late Monday afternoon the Jamaican olympic association announced the successful final qualification of the two-man sled team, as well as its decision to cover the cost of the team's travel to Sochi (and back I assume), while the international olympic organization will cover local costs in Sochi.

The Jamaican team doesn't yet know whether to cancel donations or use them to buy new blades for their bobsleigh, which was Watt's original plan.

The winter games are becoming a bit of a farce, now it emerges Vanessa Mae will be representing Thailand in Skiing.
Who will be next? Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum representing Dubai in figure skating?

She qualified within olympic guidelines so can't see why it's an issue.

If she's good enough to qualify, I don't see what the problem is. Just because she's a famous violinist don't mean she can't do other things.
 
No different to The likes of Zara Phillips and princess Anne representing us at the summer Olympics. They were kind of famous before it.

Looking forward to the inevitable carnage.

For all of its absurdity, the Winter Olympics are certainly more hardcore than the Summer version. When things go wrong, the mixture of snow, ice, sharp objects and the inevitably huge speeds always guarantee proper mayhem.

Can't wait. :D
