Coolant additives

can someone tell me what is the current received wisdom on what it is safe to add to coolant by way of biocide, inhibitor and colours? I read that EK only recommended pure deionised water.

Also, as I am thinking of getting a Asus Formula V1 does anyone know what the built in waterblock's coolant interface is made of?

buy a premix if you can, its just easier and contains everything you need

It is, OP will want a coolant with corrosion inhibitor.

Asus done goofed because they know bugger all about watercooling. I'd leave that bit on air tbh. there's no benefit and it's only an extra risk adding ally to a copper/nickel loop.
