hey guys, i've just noticed my water level is getting low and i shall need to fill it up, and before i go ahead and buy the shiney green stuff i got with my bigwater i was sondering if there is any solution i can miz for myself cheaper? reason i ask is because in the WC gallery i noticed a guy with an outer case tank that was rather large, thought he may have made his own coolant as opposed to buying loads of smaller bottles.

not sure how much it would help with pc stuff but have a look into wetter water, its used in cars to help the cooling. I think it reduces the surface tention and thus somehow increses heat transfer. Should be aimed at bigger quantitys as its for cars.

You want to be looking at Zerex Racing Super Coolant or Swiftech HydrX. Water wetter is OK but i don't like it and won't use it. Zerex, Pentosin and HydrX are the main 3 best ones.

Wish I could tell you but I can't I'm afraid - rules of the OcUK forum state no competitors may be named... :(. There are several places in the UK that do sell it though. 50ml of the stuff is good for 1L water.

stupid rule, not competition when it's for something they don't sell (if they did i'd be more than happy to buy from them, always try to get my stuff here tut) nm i'll google it.

btw i mean it's stupid because they don't sell this, not in general. obviously i get the rule.. mind you i work at co-op and have no problem telling people to go tescos :P

Oh just one other thing if anyone happens to read this again.. i don't feel like using tap water because i couldn't say it will be matter free... is there any brand of bottled water any good? or any would be fine? just the site i'm looking at says to use tap, demineralized or deionized water.

2 options: Go to Boots and get some distilled water or go to halfords and buy some deionised water. Both are equally as good.

only 1 option.. go to asda, buy deionised water, don't bother farting around with additives just stick it in.

End of.

I guess swiftech hydrx if you fancy green water, otherwise really, don't waste your time.

Go to Halfords and buy a bottle of Distilled Water and use any of the above additives.
If you've got an icey freezer then you've got loads of distilled water for free! It's made from frozen consensed water vapor, which is about as pure as you get get naturally. Just hack a load out and melt it, works for me ;)

i get some real stares when im drinking my bottle of halfords distilled water. people think im gonna die ! haha, its not battery acid, its very clean and pure water that leaves no dry residue.
