Hi guys,

So I have finally finished my loop consisting of:

D5 Pump
EK Xres 140
1x black ice GTX 360 mm
2x black ice GTX 240mm

All fans are in push and pull.

Now, the CPU temps peak at around 55 during normal use, and 70c during IBT, this is @4.6 GHz on an i7 4930k.

My last loop had worse temps when gaming say 60 ish, but water temp was always around 33.

Now my new loop the tempvis always 4 degree delta of room temp. For example it reach 35c last night during stress testing, after a few minutes of being idle the water temperature dropped to around 33, this equaled to a delta of about 4.5-5 degrees.

I have delta all of the radiators, and while the top one is warmer (straight from the CPU I presume) they all where shifting hot/warm air.

I turned up the Pump to max speed, a bit of air was shifted and the Res water went down a little, I left it like this all night, and intend to by the close of today so I don't think there is an air lock.

Oh just to add, I had all if the fans just above the slowest setting, as I have an NZXT mix, would an Aquerao be a better choice to manage such a setup?

Is this anything to be concerned about?

Your Deltas dont seem to bad but is it really 27/28 ambient temps?????

70C is fine under IBT but i am a bit suprised with a triple and double rad that you arent getting better temps tbh. I only have a triple and single rad and mine is cooling the cpu and two 290x and i get similar results to you.

In saying that I run my pump on max 24/7 and i have two pumps, one for each loop.

Well with those ambient temps i would expect your cpu to be up to 10C more than normal environments then :D

I never got anymore than 55c on games like AC unity maxed etc...

But am concerned about the water temperature.

Would I be correct in thinking the more heat transferred from the CPU, the higher the water temp will be?

On my previous loop my temps where higher by 5-6 degrees, so could this be the cause?

Looks fine. I get to 65°C during an OCCT run on a 4.6Ghz 2550K with a similar amount of rad space to you. CPU/water delta is similar too.

Do you also run a GPU under yours? I tend to run the fans jut above as slow as they go too.

Mine is just a CPU loop, i7 4930k with 1.310v I believe @4.6ghz with 125 blk strap.

Does that still look about right?

Your water temps seem fine, and as you say you run your fans at very low speeds.Im the same i run my fans at very low RPM's.With 600mm of rad space my water temps has a delta of around 10C .If i ramp up my fans to say 80% RPM its only around 4c.I trade silence for raw performance however.

Still keeps my CPU at around 50c while gaming and GPU under 45c.

Also your right about heat transfer, the more heat generated by your components the hotter your water will get.

Okay, so just came home.

Pump is at Max speed system has been idle the entire time, the system temp is 31.2 degrees on water. The room temp is 26 so this gives a delta of 5.2 degrees. Is that about inline?

i would have thought that would be pretty ok ?since your fans are running slow?do you get bigger temp drop with fans full on? with pump on medium does idle temps increase?

Zia

Yeah the temp drops quite fast on max speed, albeit noisy.

The pump does not seem to make a difference, but have it on max to get rid of any bubbles which maybe present.
