Cooler Fit

Hi all.

I have a http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-046-OP&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=505 with 2 sticks of http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-053-GS

My question is, will a http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-001-CS or a http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-029-CM fit in this case with these parts in?

I don't want to buy a new cooler, and then have to have the side of my case off, for it to fit.

Is there a 120mm fan mount at the rear of the case?

If there is, then theres a good chance the case is wide enough to fit these coolers and still get the side panel on.

Then theres the issue of the coolers fitting with the tall RAM, you maybe lucky and be able to move the ram sticks further away from the cpu socket into different dimm slots.

There is no fan at the back. Just a 120mm fan at the front and 180mm side fan.

My Ram is in the two nearest slots to the cpu, so I could move that, but im more concerned about the width fitting.

Can you measure the distance from the cpu surface to the side panel, you need 160mm just for the Hiper212.

if your worried about height then go for the gelid tranquillo instead. its 153mm tall, rather than 160mm tall

its also on offer this week, and at £5 less than the A50 its a real bargain

OK, an update.

I did a little bit of measuring and decided to go for the Gelid Tranquillo cooler, as its slightly smaller than the other coolers in my price range, but has got pretty much good reviews accross the board.

However, has anyone actually installed one of these things? I tried to find installation videos on youtube, but there were non. This is my first time installing a heatsink / cooler, as my friend build my computer for me.

There are plenty of vids for the A50 and 212+. Is the installation similar.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

perhaps you should make a new thread asking for advice with fitting the gelid tranquillo, because thats a little bit different than the thread title thats up there now
