Right then my 9800 pro is rather noisey
I am looking for a replacment cooler i would like it to be as quiet as possible
The only thing is that i own a shuttle so i cant really have an arctic coooler

So what are your suggestions ???

Thanks

Zalmans are excellent, cools my x800gto better than stock and is completely silent at 5v. They take up an extra PCI slot though so make sure you have one spare under the card.

Arctic Cooler Silencer is the cheapest way to go for the 9800 cards. Every overclcoker in the world had one of these babies when the 98000pro was the no.1 card out there. Cool temps and higher speeds at a cheap price.....mmmm. Dont know why they stopped making these

I agree with toxic!

If you take a look on the bay you should be able to track one down - there's usually one or two on at a time! I had one factory fitted on my HIS 9800 pro and it was excellent!

Alternatively you could look at the Arctic Cooling ATi1 Rev.2 silencer on this page:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Arctic_Cooling_System_Coolers.html

If you click on the 'full spec' link it states that it is compatible with a 9800 pro!

I would imagine that it would be as good, if not better, than the original! Plus, at only £14 it's pretty good value!

Hope that helps?

Artic cooler is the way forward for you my pal. I had it on my 9800 Pro adn it is very good, very silent and exhaust air out of the case! Why the AC X2 does not is beyond my intellect...

I use that Zalman on my 9800 and it does a good job, silent on the low setting, it takes up another PCI slot roughly. thats in a ATX though so not sure about Shuttle.
