Cooler Master recently debuted two new mechanical keyboards in their new Masterkeys range at the 2016 CES. No idea to what the price range will be but I find the minimalist design very appealing.

That TKL one interests me, my old cherry black CM storm has started to suffer from spillages and BF4 raging. Don't really want a backlit keyboard though.

If they can beat Corsair's K65 RGB prices I'll consider the TKL Pro S. CM kbs have a pretty good rep on GeekHack. Plus I've always preferred CM's simple look over Corsair's branding and media keys on their mechanical kbs.

These do look quite nice. I personally use a K70 but I've also got a Quickfire TKI and the only reason I don't use it is I have a full set of Corsair peripherals, whereas I only have a Mouse/Keyboard of CM. They are quality and the simpleness of the overall design on their keyboards is amazing.

Introduction to the Masterkeys keyboards starts @ 2:15
MRSP estimated to be $139 - 169 (USD).

I like the design of these, no unnecessary space wasted, nice font for the keycaps, and looks like standard size keys on the bottom row.

Looks like the same chassis as the novatouch which is nice and solid.

Hopefully it won't share the Novatouch's launch price

For anyone interested, I'm now using a MasterKeys L, Brown switches.

I love the compactness of the board - no wasted space means more desk room for me. It's a nice weight too.

The RGB lighting is quality, especially with the latest firmware update. Being able to setup custom schemes directly on the keyboard without software is nice, but fiddly compared to using the software. But there still seem to be a few simple omissions.

I'm not super happy with the typing feel to be honest. I don't know if this is inherent to all brown switches since this is the first time I've used them, but the keys feel quite rattly and very lightweight, which doesn't give the impression of quality. Likewise activation points are actually quite hard to judge, despite browns supposedly having a bump, it's very hard to feel other than a sort of stickyness, sometimes I'm pressing keys just by resting fingers on them, which is not what I expected (and never suffered from with membrane keyboards). Perhaps I needed to find a heavier activation weight switch.

So sort of mixed feelings really. Activation feel might improve once it starts to get clogged up with dust anyway ;)
