Got a problem installing this. It does not seem to be fitting correctly, as the heatsink can side/turn on the spot, even when the bracket that holds it is fully tightened.

Got it set to socket 775 configuration, and the notch in the middle that pushes the base of the heatsink down, doesn't seem to be much use.

Anyone had any experience with this cooler that can offer up any ideas?

Thanks

I had one of these fitted for a while, I'll have a look this evening and get back to you. Are u sure the centre piece is fitting into the notch correctly as I know when I first installed it that the cooler itself could still turn and if I remember right it's because it wasn't centred properly.

Mine does this too. I can twist it by a couple of degrees even though the bracket is properly tightened. Looking on google it seems that many people have reported this and some say its normal..

just fitted one of these,i had to tighten up the centre screw a bit,and it still moves a couple of degrees, but when i tightened all 4 corners down evenly it went solid

did you follow the instructions regarding how you attached the legs, excuse the poor pic

if you fit it as per the right hand picture you wont get a proper fit, this may be causing the movement your seeing

Mine is a good tight fit but I could still twist it a degree or two when I fitted it. I think this is normal, some people saying that twisting it slightly a bit when fitting helps with contact. You can feel if it's got a good strong hold on it or not. Mine idles about 30, priming at ~55-60 in the current weather (I don't think this is too bad?).

initially when i first installed mine i could twist it a little bit, but after a re-install in was solid. i could have lifted the motherboard up and and swung it about and the cooler wouldn't have shifted. that said i was using on socket 1156, but i'm sure socket 775 wouldn't be that different
