Not sure where is best to post this as it is both HDD and case related.

First off has anyone bought one, are they any good? How exactly do they work, do the HDDs go "inside" it?
Also will it fit a Lian Li PC-60 Case?

Is there a better way to fit a 3.5" HDD in a 5.25" bay? The Silent Maxx thingy is a bit to expensive for my liking.

Cheers,
Ric.

i think they only fit collermaster stackers not sure, also i think ocuk are going to stock the same sort of thing made by lian li again im not sure

Ah studying the picture in detail it looks like you might just rotate it.
Quite like to here from someone that actually bought one

Also reading a user review, they suggested not moving the pc much?! I need it to be quite sturdy as the pc does move around quite a bit

i have 3 of those in my CM stacker... they just use plastic bars on the sides that slide on the runners into the case. Hard drives screw into the inside, attach power for the fan and away you go. I have no idea whether they work in other cases though.

I have a stacker and bought 2 additional 3 in 1 devicies, already tried one in my pc 60, and it wont fit unless you remove the optical drive supports built into the hdd rack, you would have to remove the plastic slides from the 3 in 1 device aswell.

Even if you did rotate it, you would have to drill holes in the top and bottom to secure it properly, maybe the other user never did this and thats why he said not to move the case around much.

On the stacker ther are location tabs that locate in the plastic slides, thus preventing them moving.

Right thanks for all that, think I'll pass on that.
Local pc shop has a couple of metal brackets for £4 so i'll go with the low tech solution :)
