Having made 2 posts in other fora but no replies:(
I thiught I'd make a request here considering the expertise shown.
My Antec 182 case seems to be getting hotter now I've up'ed the o/c with only 1 intake fan, a poorly performing Scythe slipstream 1200rpm, soon to be replace with a Xigmatek 120mm. There are 2 exhaust 54 & 56 cfm plus the 260 vents out the case.
Thought about Corsair H5O but it says better cooling is got by drawing air from outside through rad into case which doesn't seem to help improve things.
Or should I think about water cooling the 260 rather than a new case

Thanks for that, dekez.
Obsessive about dust filters & keeping inside clean.
Bizarrely since the o/c get +5-6C spikes in cpu temp.
The 182 has grommets for water cooling.
The noise is no too bad now the top tri-cool fan has been replaced.

If new case then what? the 700D or 600Graphite would be a stretch as with a few fans gwetting close to £200 that's why the R2 appeals.

Thanks for the input guys.
@Snapshot - I don't think they thought about dual slot gpu when they designed the case. curiously if I lower the fan speed on the tricool then the case temp goes up by a few degrees & turning off MSI afterburner so stock fan speed on gpu @ 40% has little or no impact on cpu temps even though card get 15C hotter:confused:

@sir-les-mp - have emailed Coolermaster to see if my Corsair 180mm long PSU will fill in the 690. The water block alone for my 260 is about £50:eek: [not in stock here]. Doubt I will go down the gpu watercoolong route just yet.

@shadowscotland - I'm in W1. Thanks for the offer but I don't have the time to setup a water loop only to dismantle it & have to start again.
Saw the CoolIT setups as well as the H5O. 1 of these might be the way to go.

Q. is it usual to have 1 or 2 cores run up to 5C cooler than the others? [@100%]

Might have to lay my hand on "water cooling for Dummies".

I agree. I think you might be over analysing it. Basically if you want better cooling then just get a better case. The Antec P182 is a great case (I owned a P180), but I think people perhaps expect too much from it. It's designed from the ground up to be quiet. It only really has one intake to the main chamber, and the door (+ plastic grille + dust filter) is fairly restrictive for this.

Maybe you're right:(
Just swapped the Scythe for the Xigmatek. Better airflow about 2C cooler but more noise. The Xigmatek is producing more than 20dB.
Might go back to the Scythe.
My only gripes are the side panels could ho on easier & the length of the 260 makes it a tight fit which lost a drive bay which fortunately I didn't need.
