Cooling an ASUS V9999

Am I right in thinking that you can't stick an Artic Cooler on one of these? If so, what do you recommend?

Pretty sure either a Zalman VF700 or VF900 will fit, the only problem with the Artic Cooler is that the molex power connector on the back of the card goes the wrong way (perpendicular) to the card.

Are they easy to fit? Also, would I get any performance increase by fitting one?

Can someone tell me what the difference between the 2 models are? Which would be the better one to buy?

I have one of these and Phil is right - the molex points the wrong way.

I do have a VF-700 on it though (900 wasn't out when i got it) and it keeps it nice cool at about 52-53 on full load and thats o/c and unlocked.

Fits nice and easily as well - a deffo good buy.

Every day its 400/880 but I can push it up to 410/910 at an absolute max for benching though I won't run with that 24/7, thats fully unlocked to 16/6 btw.

My Asus V9999GT has two molex sockets, both pointing to the rear of the card. My Arctic Cooling V5 fits perfectly, although it does only have a two wire fan so you lose the ability to monitor and adjust the fan speed.

Nope thats cack - especially SmartDoctor thingy, I use Rivatuner to unlock and overclock it - though I double check using coolibits
