I'm building a pc with sandybridge 2600k. Looking to overclock to 5Ghz. Do i go for Corasir H70 or another water cooler. Am i right in saying the h70 is self contained i dont have to keep refilling it. Is air cooler out of the question at 5Ghz.

You can achieve near 5Ghz on air, no point going for a sealed WC unit as they tend to be noisy and will only give you 2-3 deg drop in temps, not worth it for the money.

Find a fan with PWM, Can't think of any offhand cept the one I've got which is the Cooler Master V6GT. Its a monster, so make sure you case will fit it!

I use a custom cooling kit and it is fantastic compaired to air

My mate uses a H70 and he thinks its the dogs Nutz and Isnt noisy at all,He gets excellant results to

A big aftermarket air cooker good enough for cooling such an overclock will proberbly (just my guess) cost just as much as a H70 or its predisessor the H50 (which i heard WAS noisy)
