I have the build in my profile, with 3 fans on the front of the case as intake, and 3 on the top and 1 on the rear for exhaust. The pc runs pretty hot (mid 80s on the GPU when gaming) and that's with the fans on max speed (therefore loud).

I have looked at a cpu cooler to add to the build, but that presumably would do nothing to help the gpu? I'm guessing I need to look at water cooling to make a decent difference? If so, I have no idea how to install one and wouldn't be confident in doing so. I also don't want to send off the pc via courier, so I'm guessing the best bet is to try and find a local shop that would install one for me?

Are the top 3 fans set as intake or exhaust. If they are set as intake that would explain the high temps (although 80 while gaming isn't bad for a 3090) as the air can't get out of the case. Just turn them around so that they are exhausting. As a general rule front and bottom fans should intake, rear and roof fans should exhaust.

The top 3 are exhaust. If I place my hand on them then the top of the case is very warm, so I'm fairly confident they are the correct way round. I've seen that the 3090s do get very warm, but I also have a very warm home office, which isn't a great combo.

I did wonder if a bigger case would help, as I have seen people get better aircooled temps. I've tried several different coolers, but with the noise also being an issue, I feel like water cooled may be the way forward?

i set 925mv @ 1900 and 85% power limit.
it didnt drop any performance in games but dropped a lot of heat

I had someone overclock my pc a while back. Interestingly the power limit (%) was on max, so I have dropped that down - probably wasn't helping the situation.

I do think it runs hot, as it really heats up my office. I probably should try and find a pc shop around here to take a look at it.

Did you try Wing-man's suggestion and if so did it work?

The front panel on your case looks to be very air flow restricted.

You could try running the PC without the front panel so you get maximum air flow. (be careful with the exposed fans)

What CPU cooler?

No he didn’t, he’s says it will be taken to a shop.

3080/90’s need under volting. My is now overclocked by about 8% but still under volted and runs cooler.

The FE coolers are very good and the 3090 fe cooler is over kill. I think the op as an air flow problem, fans set up wrong type thing or turned down in bios
