Anyone had much dealings with CoolIT and their support guys? Just I got one on saturday, and I kinda broke the mobo backplane\one of the screws... I was wondering what their turn around is?
 
Their support dude is really nice and helpful, but the RMA is across the pond. Can you talk to the retailer?

If you have no luck with the previous owner/coolit support. I have a spare thermalright s775 bolt thru kit (assuming this is for the rig in your sig) which may fit it.
 
One of the actual screws is broken that comes with the coolit mounting plate, I'm pretty sure that I'd have to get the same screw from them...
 
Your best bet might just to simply take the a none broken screw along with you to an independant hardware store (the small family run ones). And see if they have any that are alike, a screw is a screw really.

Its what i allways do when i need stuff, and they are really helpfull.
 
i have just fitted an elite and have a load of spares too if you let me know what you are after as i am not quite sure from your description.
 
Just got this back from CoolIT support:

Thank you for the information. I can sell you the retention kit for free but you will have to cover the cost of shipping. In order to ship a retention kit to you it will cost via Fedex $41.28 USD. We have resellers in the UK I will see if I can get one of them to send you a retention kit cheaper. Thank you

All it is, is the plastic back that goes on the back of the motherboard, and one of the screws that screws into the plastic back from the main plate... I'm shocked, $42 to send something which isn't even 500g!? Insane.
 
Just to clarify, you need the intel 775 backplate (B) and one of the standoff screws (E)?

From this thread HERE you might be able to add BARROLDE as it seems he is an employee of CoolIT, he may be able to assist if you get stuck??

Hey Guys, the rumours are true and CoolIT support staff is hawking the OCUK boards in search of damsels (or wiseguys) in distress.

In all seriousness, OCUK and CooliT have recognized that its extremely inconvenient for anyone to have to get a small / simple replacement part shipped from us in Canada so we have supplied OCUK a spare parts bag for such cases.
