Hi all,

I am confused as to go for water cooling or select fan cooling. The pc case i am using is comos s, i am not sure if v10 will fit, as i have had missed opinion on this subject. If you recommend water cooling, i am a beginner, i am not sure where to start does the equipment come with instructions? and how will i know if certain water cooling equipment i.e. rad will fit my case etc... Not sure if i should go with a simple kit as this is my first attempt.

Does water cooling require a lot of maintenance?

Sorry about the sill questions, any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks.

I don't have any experience with the Cosmo S and quick search provides contradictory info so I will wait for someone with the case to answer the specific questions.

Regarding watercooling though, the sticky at the top of this section is a good place to start. The parts do come with instructions on how to fit them then you just need to connect them all up with tubing. Maintenance of a loop from what I have gathered from reading up and using mine for a very short while is generally just a small top of now and again.

With the kits you mention do you mean like the Corsair H50 / Coolit Eco or the kits you buy of rad, tubing, pump etc?

Thanks for the feedback. You're right, there is a lot of information that contradicts regarding the use of V10 with cosmos s.

Yes, kits like Corsair H50, or even the something more custom like:

I would ideally like to have red colour for the coolant, so i would need some sort of clear tubing.

Thanks.

Delete the competitor link or you will recieve a holiday.

The swiftech kit will be infinitely better than the H50. For £200 though you could get a better custom kit ;).

Well like the above post, the V10 not only looks great, but is one of the top rated fans that can compete with liquid cooling, hence the choice.

I am not sure how the viper compares in that respect.

How do you know which parts fit with which sizes when building a custom cooling set, it is very confusing for a newbie, not sure where to start.

Rgds,

Hussain

I'd stay clear of the V10 ive seen a lot of negative reviews about it, mainly the TEC chip not working after a while, not to mention the price! and cooling isnt spectacular for how much your paying.
I'd go for a megahelms if i were you, cant fault them :)

It isn't going to compete with any watercooling done remotely competently. Thermaltake's cheap and cheerful budget unit perhaps.

Watercooling is much nicer than it used to be. Very nearly everything uses the same diameter thread so barbs and blocks fit together without fuss. A few pumps have plastic barbs built in, which is a bit inconvenient, but there's invariably replacement parts that allow you to use normal threaded barbs with them. As for whether the radiator will fit in your case, if "measure it with a ruler" hasn't occurred to you as a means of checking this, perhaps air cooling is a better idea.

Also as someone allready pointed out you might want to delete the link you posted a few posts up before a mod see's :)
