Cop Shoots and Kills Unarmed Deaf Man as He Tries to Communicate Using Sign Language

when did i say it was a fact, I just put it out there as a possibility

A possibility? So its made up then?

Here I will play. I think there is a possibility that an alien took over the suspects mind and forced him to drive home ignoring the flashing lights and the collision.

Stop posting up nonsense as fact and wait for the full story to emerge.

Whilst I hate to disagree, the chances of a US officer dying in the line of duty due to criminal action has been dropping steadily for something like 20-30 years.

The perception of the risk of it has been rising though.

.

Perhaps the reason why Officers dying in the line of duty has been falling over the last couple of decades is because more recently they have been taking a harder and more pre-emptive line with violent and uncooperative suspects.

Statements like the above, seem to me, be along the same lines as "Why do we need to have so many people in prison when crime rates are falling"

Errr :p

You cant just create an utterly absurd example of speculation like that just to make someone stop speculating and posting ideas.

He posted this "or he just went home on his on accord hoping someone will help him"

I don't see how "simply going home" can be considered as impossible as alien intervention :D.

We all want to go home at the end of the day right? And considering he wasn't ACTUALLY strapped with a gun or a bomb vest or something.

Yes it is speculation, but it's not completely ridiculous and impossible like your alien example.

OK fair enough.

Point still stands though, I still don't see how a deaf guy heading home to fetch an interpreter is as impossible as an alien intervention.

In fact its more likely the guy went home to fetch an interpreter rather than going home to go to bed or something :p, so thanks I guess :)

Yes, well it's obvious they aren't equally weighted - that was never the point though was it. It's the facebook generation reading any old site and accepting any old thing as a distinct possibility when actually it's totally impossible to say it had occurred through a simple application of logic. It's feeds the narrative which a certain type will feed into that then promotes civil unrest and disobedience. That's hardly healthy.

If I was a cop knowing the following I think I'd be having a gun drawn:

1) Living in a violent society
2) Trying to stop a suspect that does not pull over and actively attempts to escape pursuit
3) Knowing the suspect had previous form for resisting arrest.

Now does that exclude cops of being gungho in many cases - no - does it exclude this cop of being trigger happy - no. But it does place the situation into context and tells us that the narrative we are being given is not consistent or on basic appearance explainable.

The fact the chap couldn't see that basic logic chain is why posters got flippant. It was never stated to be equally weighted.
