He generally does but the rest of the team aren't brilliant.

Still Maradona did it in 1986 in 8 games (I think), wonder if Messi can do it in 2014. He's got time on his side but they're the only two trophies missing for him.

I still don't understand why everyone claims that messi needs to win this competition single handedly to be considered the best player ever. He would run rings around any other player in history. Football is more competitive these days than ever before so to get to the quality he is with so many good players opposing him is pretty good.

I guess it's a historical comparison thing. At the end of the day competition changes, players change, the game itself changes but the trophy list doesn't.

I'm sure players that have played a lot of games over the summer will be rested.

A lot of the players at Barcelona have played football almost continuously for the last few years and aren't doing to badly. Maybe coming back from a tournament will keep players fit and sharp, they're essentially athletes these days anyway. Also, given more time to younger players can help them develop.

I think Virgin gets ESPN as standard on some of the packages, whereas with Sky it's an added extra. He maybe means that.

The actual timings for the games are really good. Like they are outside of business hours so it would be worth watching I definitely will be.
