I don't know if anyone else has this problem but i find my Razer Copperhead very uncomfortable after a couple of hours of use. I recently changed from an MX518 (which was very comfy) to the copperhead. Does anyone know if the new Razer DeathAdder is any better?

It might be that you will find it more comfortable after a bit more practice but my money would be on what PinkFloyd suggests, some people simply appear to have hands that suit Microsoft/Logitech/Razer mice and not any others as well. :)

Why did you change from a MX518?

Well i was thinking i was gonna be getting the ultimate gaming mouse, and don't get me wrong, it is amazing in game but after a couple of hours the palm of my hand starts to ache (maybe i'm trying to hold it like the MX518?) I'm thinking the DeathAdder would be more suited to me, anyone got one?

I found the Copperhead very uncomfortable at first, especially with my little finger 'dragging' across the mouse pad. Eventually I got used to it but it's definitely not a mouse for people with big hands.

As for the DeathAdder; I think it's based around the IE 3.0 so it should be quite nice to hold. I'm thinking about upgrading to it myself since I'm not a big fan of laser and the said problems with handling.

Edit: Whoops sorry for thread necromancy. Was just browsing through looking at people's opinions.

4-5 hrs of America's Army (M249 ownage....... darn i love that game sometimes) ..... and my G5 is still comfortable.

Big hands need a big mouse, and the new 2007 G5 surface is pretty comfy too, doesnt get slippy like my G7 did from time to time.

.............and????

I know what you mean though.

The microsoft HABU is brilliant ergonomic wise. However the quality of them is terrible. I brought one from OCUK around 2 months ago. After light use the whole bottom of it is peeling away

Very annoying

the copperhead is the same shape as the old diamondback chameleon isnt it?

In which case, yes I found it quite a poorly designed shape

I figured after a while I would get used to it and refused to give up and go to Logitech, but once I finally did (now have a G5) I was amazed at the difference in how I play and how little I think about the position of my hand compared to my old mouse

I was forever moving my wrist/hand etc to get it more comfortable which distracted me from the game I was playing

I've had a copperhead for several months now. Theres a small hole in my mouse pad where my little finger drags  lol.

Its not very well designed to hold, but.... I wouldn't chose anything else for playability, its light and very easy to play with.

i moved to this a few months ago from a ms intellimouse

i thought it was horrible to hold at first, but i love it now took about 2 weeks to get used to

i gave up with my razer mouse after a year and have been using my G5 since, much better, I don't like little light mice as I have big hands, I like the fact you can adjust how heavy the G5 is, very useful

and yeah, my little finger is no longer digging a groove into the mouse mat either :P

I had a Razor Mouse (not sure what type) a few years ago (dog bit through cable!), at first I thought it was a little too low in height, but i eventually got used to it.

my razer mat came with my original razer boomslang 2100, it is still a very good mat and is almost identical to the new razer mat every1 raves about
