Pretty reasonable if you ask me!

taking it easy that day ;)

well i was on a bike and he was facing towards me so he would to of have span around to do that.

what shape device was it ? if its one of these

then its only a speed measuring device. It has no photo taking properties and is only a speed measuring device. Copper will have to follow you to issue you a ticket this way. (like happened to me last year when i was clocked at 107 on the laser)

I'm not sure exactly what "hand" cameras are capable of using evidence via post. Even the vascar system which records average speed over a distance using nothing more than a calibrated speedomter and a in car video camera (combined with some handy trip functions to measure a given distance and time somebody over it) requires the copper to pull you over (Got a ticket in 2001 this exact way)

As far as i can tell, anything carried in the officers hands will require the copper to follow you and pull it over. Unless its a mobile gatso in a van or MPV of some sort. Something like this

Coppers hand held ones don't have a camera for evidence. Just a laser speed detector.

If he wanted to nick you he would have been after you straight away :)

38 in a 30 just about OK on a quiet bank holiday... he would have used his discretion in this case

Id go along with this. :)

that timeout at the top of the image would actually invaildated the reading here
That was one of many frames. There were those without "TIMEOUT" on, unfortunately. Good spot though! :p

Only 40% over... it was barely worth the police bothering! Have the police got nothing better to do? They should concentrate on getting the people speeding around schools.

And those cameras have been proved to be incredibly inreliable becasue of "slip" up the bonnet creating incorrect readings. the cross hairs should be on the number plate.
