copy speed between hard drives?

What speeds should SATA II hard drives copy at?

The drives are:

Samsung HD501LJ 500gb
Seagate 7200.10 (unsure of model no.) 500gb
Samsung HD753LJ 750gb


Copying seems to be around 50-55MB/s, I saw it peak at 62MB/s for a second. Assuming those speeds are reliable is that about right?

Are there any others way of testing the transfer speed?

Those are normal, yes. Average read/write speed of a HD501LJ is in the low 60's and the 7200.10's are less than that.
