I have a HDD from a mates computer that is a bit borked but a lot of the data is still readable. I have tried running a few recovery programs on it and it doesn't seem worth the effort as they take so long and lose all the directory structure and filenames etc. What I want to do is try and copy everything that can be read onto another HDD and just leave anything that is corrupt. When I copy in windows it just stops as soon as it gets to a file which it can't read... is there a way I can get around this?

Robocopy rules, if not Stellar Phoenix rocks for the borked parts of the drive. Using Robocopy atm to copy user profiles across the nas at work :)
