I set up a PDA for my boss to use to collect his emails on via pop3 while he was out of the office for a few days.

However I didnt set it up right and instead of leaving a copy of the message on the server, so that when he got back to his desktop he would have copies there too, instead it downloaded the mails completely from the server.

We need to get the emails off the PDA on to his email on his desktop, however installing Active Sync only seems to copy new emails from the machine to the PDA.

Anyone know how we can get round it?

Is there an option hiden some where in Activesync which allows you to copy emails from PDA to machine, I know you can change settings for Calendar dates and tasks, but i have never tried emails.

there's about 580 emails and the device is only connected via gprs, so ti could take hours and cost a fortune.

Would prefer it if it could just sync from PDA desktop.

If you set up the sync on the PC you want them to go onto you can sync the PDA inbox into the outlook on the machine your syncing to. I do that on one of my pcs.

ok a little more info.

I just tried synching the email from his PC to the handheld and it goes into an account on the PDA called "Outlook email" which is not his account, we named his mailbox a different name.

is there a way to set the one he uses as the default?
