Cordless mouse

Am I out of date? Or are cordless mice still a bit crap for gaming?
A mate rang just now asking if he should buy a MX1000 cordless, and to be honest I dont know. I still use a MS corded mouse, Id like to replace it but Im left handed and most mice dont suit me

Anyway, MX1000 cordless, good for gaming, or not?
All help much appreciated

I've used the MX510, MX700, MX1000 and the G7.
The G7 wipes the floor with the lot of them.

You WILL NOT notice the fact that it is wireless either - There is no lag.
Battery runs out? 5 secs later you are back up and running.
(For those that complain this happens mid-match, look for the red LED telling you its running out.

MX1000 is not a good a mouse for gaming.

I have the G7, and it is great, but I have a problem where it will randomly not work for several seconds. I have no idea why, it just started happening and hasne't stopped.
