I cant see any P5B deluxe in that picture? I have just ordered that with a e6300 is this a bad choice for getting some mad clocks? I at least want to get 3Ghz, ive got some XMS2-6400 corsair that will go to 1ghz i'm told.

Is this going to be a problem? Should i get a 6400 or something higher or a diff motherboard?

Looking at that table the 6300's are very good overclockers with the right board i.e. Gigabyte DS3/DS4 or Asus P5W

Doesn't mean the P5B isn't any good just good be that the P5W is just more popular esp. with the overclocking community.

May I ask why you went for the P5B over the P5W?

Just put my new rig together, straight in at 3.6ghz, just curious to know what this Geil Ram can do :)

That's a nice OC! By the sounds of it our rigs are pretty similar, my 6600 is a Week 29 also. Have you upped the vcore voltage at all?

Also, my coretemp says Tjunction 85 degrees. Although my core temps are 39/40 and that's back at stock settings.

Tell me if e6300's are hitting high speeds the benefit of going for an e6400, e6600 or more?

The 6300 & 6400 have a 2MB Level2 Cache whereas the 6600 has a 4MB Level2 Cache.

The extra 2mb cache on the 6600 can give upto 10% increase in performance in some applications but usually much lower.

Quote from Anandtech:
The E6300 and E6400 can easily overclock to E6700 and Core 2 Extreme X6800 levels, though the smaller cache does limit performance a bit.
