Core 2 Duo E4700 Preview

To be honest I'm more inclined to believe a slightly shadey looking review site than Wikipedia 'cause anybody could've made that entry. I could change it now to say it's a new core called 'foxdale' based on a 55nm process. Or even better yet, I could change it to say 'wolfdale-4M' and '45nm' because I actually have a citation. Of course I'm not going to, but whoever made that entry needs to get their head on strait!

However, even if that chip never comes to fruition, Wiki also seems to state an unspecified Wolfdale-3M 5XXX series with a 1066 FSB for $133. Sounds like it'll still have a half decent multi, and if anything else, a multi similar to the old conroes so should overclock like a mad thing regardless.

Well if you actually google it, youll find that sources including anandtech and dailytech confirm this. Id much rather believe wikipedia and these sources than arstechnica to be honest.

Common sense should also prevail here. Why would intel call a wolfdale chip using the e4xxx naming structure and why would it have a 800mhz fsb?
