Are we likely to see the Core 2 Duo prices drop after new year, during Q1?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Robbie G said:The OP asked if there were likely to be any price drops, not whether or not the current price was fair . I'm sure any one of you would love to be paying even less for this product.
Tom|Nbk said:im pretty sure we all would
Robbie G said:Precisely, and I agree with your comment, but there may be some people out there that cannot afford it even at its current price level and are hoping for a fall in the New Year, which is why it's unfair to make naive remarks like "The E6300, E6400, E6600 are at very good prices in the first place". Intel are making their bucks from us, don't worry about it, as well they should be doing.

F2 arrives, if it overclocks very well so they can keep conroe within reach until K8L then intel will have no choice but to lower prices, cause theres no way AMD are entering rev. F2 at higher than conroe price, would be damned right stupidity im personally curious to see just how far K8 overclocks on 65nm, wouldn't mind one of those low power models if F2 overclocks well, hoping to see 3.4Ghz on the table
