Core 2 Duo prices drops: when?

No its not the C2D prices that need going down its the bloody motherboards and ram, so expensive!

ram prices for me are the worse and motherboard are starting to creep up makes you worry a bit tbh.

dosn't matter how well it will clock im pretty sure it still wont be able to keep up with C2D

lol K8 isn't THAT much slower than C2D jesus people treat it like C2D is 3 times the speed or something

I could easily justify £120 on a 6300 but its the £100 on a motherboard to get a decent overclock and then another £150 for 2GB RAM that hold me back. Hopefully the 6xx nvidia chips (the ultra single 16x pci-e one will do me) will bring a bit of price competition into the 775 motherboard realm.

I don't really mind £100 for a mobo and the ram prices aren't too bad despite being high at the moment. Its £400 for a graphics card that really hurts the pocket!

Tbh, conroe is a really well priced chip anyway, I agree with a few post above that the rest of the kit is a bit overpriced though.
