Of the I7-930, 950, 960 - which one has the more reliable overclock?

As they are all pretty much the same price here.

Is it better to get the 3.2 version as it starts at a higher base clock?

All the bloomfield chips clock pretty much the same. Can you not get your 920 replaced by intel/retailer?

As said there all pretty much the same. Just get what ever is cheaper.

Or could make the move to sandy bridge

They'll clock the same. Get the cheapest you can find.

How can they tell that it died from overclocking? Have you even tried to rma it?

I bought it from here as part of an OC package.

I can't see it dying due to overclock, especially when it was a preset bundle.

Did you change the settings? If not, it was faulty and you should be able to replace it under warranty no?

Put in a webnote to OCUK and see what they have to say, the do (as far as I know) offer a limited in house warranty with pre-OC'd bundles...

Failing rma you can pick them up pretty cheap now secondhand, if you meet the criteria for ocuk's members market, theres a few popping up for sale now and again. Managed to pick up a 930 last week for £110.00.

I've had a 920 and a 950, to be fair they overclock very evenly. Get the 920 or whichever is cheapest.
