Skylake will no doubt be excellent for gaming, and really low power as well. Be nice to own Intel's first true 8 core though, imagine the power !

Intel have been making 8 core cpu's for years, this is simply the first enthusiast/eventually mainstream offering.

They already offer a 12 core/ 24 thread xeon, for example.

Yeah we know that bud, but those are Xeon locked CPU's. This is the first high end 8 core enthusiast desktop CPU. Hence why people are more interested in this than say the Xeon's for example...

First true 8 core, which isn't true, for reasons I already posted.

Now in your latest post, you correct yourself by copying my words, describing this as intel's first enthusiast 8 core cpu.

I'm not really sure if this or joking or just being petty, but urm yeah this is Intel's first desktop 8 CPU, obviously people will be interested more than locked down Xeon's.

I was correcting your mistake, as it was quite misleading of you to say this is Intel's first 8 core cpu, when clearly it's not.

While you have now corrected yourself and called it their first 'Enthusiast' desktop cpu, after we pointed out your mistake, you still seem to be insisting that you never described it as their first 8 core cpu.

I'll not be replying to any more of your posts, as no doubt you'll continue to defend your own incorrect descriptions of Haswell -E.

8 core Xeon is not the same as 8 core desktop unlocked CPU, but seriously just stop trolling at this point, it's getting weird now.
