Hello,

I plan to buy a 920 with 6GB corsair and watercool it with a GTZ block.

Is Asus P6T Deluxe my best option at the moment?

Anything better coming soon?

I ve read about some DFI boards, but how about overclocking and how they compare to asus?

(Asus looks easy to overclock, with DFI from what I read is complicated with volts etc?)

Cheers.

PS: I am upgrading from skt 939, all this i7 DDR3 puzzles me :p

The ASUS P6T seems to be a safe bet in the way that there are lots of users out there with stable overclocks on that board. Various reviews have said the competitor boards from Biostar, Gigabyte, XFX, EVGA etc. are as good or better overclockers.

The one thing that puts me off DFI is the sheer amount of adjustments in the BIOS. I really only want to change maybe 5-10 things, but to optimise a DFI board you sometimes need to change 20 or 30 settings. It's the board that fiddling with will get you a marginally better result, almost certainly, but I want a board to use, not to fiddle with.

For personal reasons, I have an XFX board on it's way to me, but that's because I got a VERY good deal on it.

im waiting out for gigabyte extreme, been out of stock here and everywhere for ages tho

evga are releasing a new board in late feb/early march which has been used in a record-breaking rig over on xtremesystems i think it is

I read that the UD5 clocks just as good as the extreme, I got a good price on one, just waiting for it to come, any day now I hope.

I got the EVGA last week a pleasure to work with
I have not yet to play around with the overclocking bit since I just ordered noctua today will be here tomorrow.

The EVGA community is awesome btw
