Core speed on X1800XT?

Just purchased the 512mb X1800XT from overclockers yesterday but I'm a bit confused about the core speed. I thought it was supposed to run at 625mhz but when I check the ati control panel it reads as 594mhz...also is the memory clock right at 693mhz?

They are 2D clocks. The speed ups when you launch a game.

Those are your current (2d clocks) the card will go up to full speed in 3d mode

I recently purchased an ATI x1800xt and I'm also confused about these 2d and 3d clock speeds.

When i run 3DMark06 - it only reports my core speed as 700Mhz and my memory as 600Mhz

I have the latest cats - 6.3 installed.

Can anyone advise?

dont rely on 3dmark though, it often gets peoples specs wrong check with ati tool or in the ccc/cp

Do u need CCC for the 2d/3d clocks thing or will it work with some of the modded 6.3 CP downloads floating about?
