Hi I posted this thread earlier today which Melbourne720 kindly replied to:
http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17834659
CoreTemp is showing my ambient temprature at around 50-60 degrees and EVERYTHING ELSE (BIOS, ASUS Probe, ASUS AI, FanSpeed & NVidia Temp) is showing it around 30-40 degrees.
When I load the CPU's CoreTemp reaches tempartues or 120+ degrees and EVERYTHING ELSE around 75-85.
I have overclocked my QX6700 to 3.2GHz and have voltage settings as Auto in BIOS.
My system/mobo tempratue is around 30 degrees.
I have tried re-seating the BigTyp CPU cooler and opening the side of my case makes no real differece to the tempratues.
Even running my BigTyp at max rpm and turning my Antec case fans up to max only makes 1-2 degrees difference.
Anyone having this problem or can you help me.
Im too scared to try SP2004 on all cores for any length of time when its reporting 120 degrees
Thanks
p.s. what are acceptable ambient/stress tempratures anyhow??
