"Core Temp" - A program for accurate Rev F chips' temperature monitoring

u sure its not a toledo, cause a lot of failed dual cores, bcame 3700s

Ohh right...don't suppose there is a way of 'unlocking' the disabled core? Do these Processors usually overclock worse than normal san diego's as I had a go at overclocking it last night and couldn't get above 2.6GHz stable no matter what vcore I put through it. I tried changing the memory divider to 133 and the htt multi to 3x.

My board is nearly 8 degrees lower than core temp. The newest dfi expert bios allows you to tweak the temps though so i can make board match core temp

so, if coretemp seems to think I have core 1 at 27 and core 2 at 40 IDLE at stock under water does it mean..

a) the ihs is fitted very badly
b) the waterblock is fitted badly (unlikely, all custom mounting made by me so I have a fair idea its fitted correctly)
c) core temp is telling porkies

answers on a postcard

EDIT: incedentally full load on both cores ups it to 40/48

does 1 core always fail prime before the other, mine was the same, run prime then adjust for block until the temps level out, its quite easy to do, ya just have to make small adjustments

interesting, i'm really trying to figure out what the genuine temp is of my CPU at the moment, i've been using speedfan for some time but this tells me...

AND Athlon 64 3400+ (NewCastle)
2411.00mhz (200.92 x 12.0)
Socket 754
1.5v

Speedfan currently at idle 49c with or without the case side(My flat 29c) (fan at 1350 rpm)
Core Temp currently at idle 46c, or 42c with side of case off (My flat 29c) (fan at 1350 rpm)

Speedfan currently at max 63c, or 59c with side off(My flat 29c) (fan at 1850 rpm)
Core Temp currently at max 62c, or 57c with side of case off (My flat 29c) (fan at 1850 rpm)

why does this cpu run so hot :((

Well, 1.5v compared to the 1.30 - 1.35v of the later socket 939 processors would certainly be responsible for slightly higher temps
