Heard a lot about this program so decided to try it out.Is the core temp the final box at the bottom of the screen?

Getting some very odd readings with my Shuttle.

As you can see the difference in temp readings is HUGE.Someone said that Speedfan in a 64Bit OS can be flakey,is this true?

Any info would be great.

I'd say that the Coretemp of 22ºC is low based on the CPU you have.

The CPU has no IHS and also that temp was with a 120mm fan pulling air out of the case. I re-seated the CPU rebooted and its now reading 34c idle.

34ºC sounds more realistic.

So do you think Speedfan is way out? Is Coretemp more reliable/accurate for the cpu temps?

use coretemp over speedfan, and yes, speed fan is always a few degrees cooler than the real temperature. mine was out by a good 5 degrees

It seems to have levelled out now at 33c @ 2.6GHZ.Primimg or general gaming it hits 47-50 so aslong as Coretemp is correct i have no worries.Updated your trust btw Baker.

Had same problem with my PC and Speedfan.
