take some hotdogs to local chipshop, ask them to batter them.

they will do marsbars surely they will do hot dogs

I did freeze a few of them, but they weren't very nice once defrosted.

Yeah batter and the corn batter aren't really similar.

The hunt is over.

Tesco currently stock corn dogs.

They are only mini ones and need oven cooking but they are great
