OK, now I'm confused - north or south coast?

I disagree with that some beaches in the north are very nice for families.

Sorry, I was talking about West/Mid Cornwall, not North Cornwall or Devon. There are some really nice beaches around Bude.

I prefer the south coast, as it's more sheltered from the Atlantic weather. I'm biased, though - I moved to West Cornwall from "up country".
