I have noticed that my computer has at start said "CPU fan error press F1 "

I dont have a CPU fan as my pc is watercooled but i do have my front 120mm fan plugged into that port.

I wondering if i connected it wrong, the fan is working fine but seems it not regestering properly.

Here is picture high lighting the connection

Its a 4 Pin connection and fan is 3 pin, i connecting the fan to the first 3 pins LEFT SIDE...

Should i try reconnecting it so that it connects to the first 3 RIGHT SIDE??

It's a common problem with Asus boards when starting up the fan. It only sends enough power to spin up the stock AMD/Intel fan, but for bigger fans such as 120mm it doesn't give enough power hence why you can sometimes see the fan connected to it "struggle" for a few seconds, although after the CPU fan error appears the fan spins normally.

I solved it for my Crosshair III with this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-031-AK&groupid=1929&catid=153&subcat=

It still allows the board to control the fan speed, but all power comes directly from the PSU.

Really the fan error doesn't really mean anything. The fan still operates normally after POST, so it's only a little annoyance at boot.

like i thought, it more a anoyance like you said but its rather strange given when i first did PC i never had any of these issues with fan ect, just wasnt sure if maybe when i changed some things the reconnected i mis connected the wires..

To confirm with the manual the connection to first 3 from LEFT means, the nearest pings to the CPU, rather than connecting to the right ie 3 pins nearest the DVD writer/front of case.

easy way is just to set the monitor to ignore on the cpu fan speed i also watercool and have had the same error now and again its a pain but no real problem
