So I updated my Z170i to the latest bios to support kaby chips, it does its thing and hits the bios flash screen where it tells you to hit F1 to config the bios. Thing is it won't let me in the bios it is just frozen on that screen every boot so can't boot in to windows.

Do i need a new bios chip?

It's the Z170i pro gaming.

Yes done the lot. After the update it would not let me in the bios it just froze, I restarted the PC smashing delete to get in to bios and it just loaded up windows, it done this every time I tried to enter the bios. So I cleared the CMOS and now I'm frozen on the bios screen as it wants me to configure the bios after the cmos clear.

I've had this happen randomly with my Z170i (although not bios update related), it would eventually let me in. Worth a shot.

Fixed it. Guy on Asus forum suggested that the latest bios is causing issues with keyboards, even though mine was lite up and shown connected in the bios it was not working but I assumed it was the bios, tried another keyboard and it works.

So Asus have screwed up bios support for my Logitech G510.
