Hope someone can help im stumpt !!!!!!!!! Picture the scene........
1 windows 2000 server C:\ operting system D:\files 112GB E:\files 112GB
in a small busness running as a simple file server to 6 PCs and 2 Mac's.
the data\files on the D:\ and E:\ drives keep becoming corrupt (orphaned files that delete on restart) this problem has been going on for about 2 months know.
So far the Server has been rebuilt, New Hard drives, mobo,Memory,PSU,IDE cabes and the problem persists.
Whilst their today the owner told me that the server was rock solid till the moved to a new building, I then noticed that all the network cables run under the tables along side the extension leads for the power supplies for the PCs 6 way extension plug into another 6way extension infact the network cables where mostly tangled around them
What Im asking could this be causing the corrupt files/HDDs on the server
