I'm running windows 7 64bit and today can't boot up. It seems I have a corrupt acl. Does anybody know how to fix this as I've never come across this issue before. Safe mode won't boot, system recovery environment doesn't solve it, hirens boot cd won't load, system restore makes no difference. This is a fresh install of windows on my new SSD (after two days of reinstalling everything). This one has me stumped.

If you cannot even get a boot cd to load u have serious problems

Disconnect the SSD sata cables and try loading the hirens , see how that goes

Last known config doesn't work. The boot CDs load to the menu select but won't boot into the OS.

I have tried:

Icacls * /T /Q /C /RESET

To reset all the permissions but that doesn't seem to be working either.

Oh and I have disconnected every drive bar the SSD.

Yeah, windows repair can't solve it. According to the details of the error it's a corrupt ACL which is the permissions log. Registry error perhaps. Worse case scenario it's a virus that has edited my reg. but even trying to reset the permissions with the code above in win re command prompt doesn't work. So I'm currently on a system repair loop. Zero way of booting into windows. The hirens boot cd just kernals. Which is odd.
