There's supposed to be dozens of MPs in fear of their expenses claims being made public under the freedom of information act showing that essentially they've been defrauding the taxpayer for years. This sort of thing will rumble on for years as all these cases are made public.

at least the public is starting to get angry about this sort of thing thats been going on for years - these politicians are thieves, and should be in jail, nothing less.

The MP's that are shown to be corruptly abusing expenses come the release of the the information, we can do something about. A peer from an unelected chamber, we cannot.

We are subjected to frightening adverts regarding not paying road tax / tv licence or claiming benefits fraudulently and the ***** that run the show are doing it on another level.

Wish I knew why I bother to have any form of morals.

Lets just give them a small slap on the wrist when benefit cheats at the more desparate end of the spectrum go to jail.

They have been "playing the system" as much as anybody and it's not even as if their wage isn't already sufficient for living a cushy life.

Doesn't sound like it, as it says in the article, many neighbours have not seen anyone in there for years, some plumber went in to do some work and it looked dusty/nobody lived there. She isn't registered to vote at that address, and her kids go to a school nearby her other flat?

They'll no doubt all be within the "rules", but regardless it will show how much greed is at the centre of government and no wonder why they've fought tooth and nail to prevent it from becoming public knowledge.
