Corsa 2001+ Model (Help)

THATS the point im trying to make. Ive had mine for nearly 5 years now, I know how to drive it and I know what I can get out of it.

You could put Nigel Mansell in a 1.2 SXi and a halfwit in a car with actual power would still accelerate faster.

If you do not act silly and post such stupidity I will not call you silly. :)
Silly is fine, the other word isnt. Im a carer for a disabled child so that word kinda cuts a bit sorry.
And I am entitled to my opinion about my car, like it or not.
Like I said earlier, I would probably kill myself in anything more powerful and it suits me fine thankyou.

That is fine just please do not pretend it is something that it is not, which in this case is fast, it is not, it is a shopping car for mother. :)

Well it goes fast enough for me. Got 110 out of it on the M6 once, and then I crapped myself and slowed down.

110mph indicated, or GPS verified?

Yes, the corsa i had for a week was fairly nippy (1.4 twinport), and i do believe it would do 110mph, but not without a serious fight.

Well the steering wheel was shaking at that point and the scenery was going past pretty darn fast. :D

Mum bought a 1.3 CDTi Corsa while I was away. :( If I had been here it wouldn't have happened. :p

For what she wants it for though it's ideal. She hates cars full stop and doesn't care what it drives like, handles as long as it has a reasonable boot (check), reliable (so far so good), economical (major plus point here), cheap to insure (check) and cheap to tax (check). Servicing and tyres are also fairly low priced so no issues there.
It will be run into the ground now until it is pretty much dead and absolutely worthless.

The girlfriends parents have one. I so wish I'd asked what they drove on the first date. Now its too late :(

Likewise. I was 3500 miles away or I'd have put a stop to it instantly:p. The only thing is that she got a bargain compared to all the others on Autotrader etc and it came from a main dealer with years warranty. It wasn't brand new either thank god.

lol, can't believe i only just read this thread :D

Brought some enjoyment to a boring sunday

I aim to please :)

Although Im still very keane on the Corsa's looks from what I have heard upto now I think I will have to give one a test drive, but noticing I can get more bang for buck, the Renault Clio is now in my eyes or even a 307 :p

For the love of god, don't buy a 307!
