Corsair 650D Builds (picture's please!)

I've removed the front 200mm grill and its much better, its a less irritating sound now. Need to do the rear but would want to strip the components out to make sure no metal filings got onto anything

I put my disk drives up into the 5.25" bays to get them out the way with a front fan pulling in air over them
thats an idea, does the case come with something that allows you to do that? Also, how did you get the little thing below the hdd cage which i su to hide cables? whats your cable management like at the back?

Do you mean putting the hard drives in the 5.25" bays with a fan?

No i use adapters for the drives and fitted scythe KAMA bay to give me a fan, doesn't match the grill on the bottom but its functional

Alas I sold my 650D when I moved in with the GF, but I still have pics!

Old, first build:

Then the mobo died so I swapped it out for an MATX mobo. It looks tiny!

I've done this as well for my mech hd, SSD is velcro'd to the case (on view).

Megaflow red is waiting to be installed, and I've got some SP120 "performance" fans for the Kuhler. I'll up the pics after the weekend!

I'm sure I read somewhere you could get the mesh, but I suppose that would've cost a tonne in shipping. Probably would be easier to buy a different type and replace the existing mesh.

I meant whether you needed an adapter to get hdds in the 5.25 bay. Fn wise I wouldn't have thought that the drives really needed the extra cooling. I have a caviar black, caviar blue and an ssd, do you think it would need it?

cool. I think I might keep my pedestal in as it hides the fan controller leads which I don't use! Veryy messy otherwise!

Another thing I need to get around to doing, is removing those cables. In the other thread, they say this is possible. I already have a Nesteq so haven't used the built in controller and I agree they are a pain.

I need to get a fan controller at some point. How exactly do you set them up? Getting rid of those attached cables would be lovely!!

Here's mine:

(Other things you can't see: I have dremmel tooled the front mesh, demci dust filter on the rear fan, fan controller, and 2x SSD's and 1x HDD in the 5.25 bays. Also no modding to the case at all for the 200mm rad.)

Nice, nice. I do like the look of the Sabretooth mobos, superfluous but aesthetically pleasing!

Have you not fitted LEDs to the XSPC block? It looks good without though to be honest

Thanks, didn't want the extra LED cables with the XSPC block.

Yeah makes sense. It does look good though, very tempted to go XSPC when I take the plunge.

Did you get a kit or buy individual parts? What thickness rad did you go for up top?

Edit - apologies, looking at your build log now

I think it should all be covered in the build log but any questions feel free to ask, all bought in parts and with the rad it's a Alphacool XT45 (45mm), with the Synthe Typhoon fans fitted there is a gap just about big enough to fit a knife blade to disconnect the power cable.
