Hi,

I have being using the Corsair AIO's since first released (H50/80?) and had no problems with.

Now I have being using the H100+ releases they seem to break quite quickly. I have had 3 in the past year and all have had the same problem ... the pump breaks.

Currently I have the H115i (bought about 7 months ago) and now I have the same problem, my idle temps sit about 50 degrees & max temps are low 90's. (Before max temps were mid 70's) .. The Corsair logo keeps flashing red (which I believe is due to the liquid reaching a certain temperature)

Can anyone suggest any alternatives? ... main PC use is the odd game & video encoding.

Spec
5930k @4Ghz
16GB Corsair DOminator
MSI 390x
Asus Strix X99
5x Noctua 140mm Industrial Fans (2x intake, 3x Extract)

cheers.

Hi, I have used a H50 in the past, :( and I was told about this Maelstrom 120K on a push/pull setup and my temps are great 55c under load gaming and it idles at 25c. :)

far better than the H50 was, and it's less than £50 and it also has a 3 year warranty. ;)

I have just purchased the Antec Mercury M240 For the Mrs computer. Its on par with my H100i V2 No problems. Its also a very sleek bit of kit for £80. Hope this helps :)

ok it seems the Corsair pump wasn't broken.

I moved the radiator to the front of the case with the fans blowing into the case and now my temps are back down to low 70's.

Before I had the radiator at the top of my case with the fans blowing air out of the case (what is recommended by Corsair)

Could the heat from my 390x cause the increase in cpu temps?

The heat from the 390x could be some of the reason, I know how hot my old 290 use to run, see how it goes from now on.

Ambient air then heated by a 300 W GPU (So like half a electric heater), yes yes that could cause a higher air temp :)

Moving the rad to the front now means the 390x will be getting slightly warmer aim (Admittely not GPU heat) so it's temps might climb slightly instead.

With the radiator mounted on the front of the case the temps gradually increased to low 90's again.

Have removed my overclock and now running @ stock speed, radiator back at the top of my case and temps are high 70's.

Probably room temps which are causing high temps as you say, I have the sun shining in my room probably 8 hours a day, current room temp is 29°C and case temp 28.2°C.

You ever thought about tinting your windows?

I know that sounds a little extreme but I have done it in my office and it has made a massive difference to the heat coming in from direct sun.

What is the temp for the pump when the CPU is hitting 90c? And is this immediately after putting the CPU under full load, or aggregate? Try running a CPU stress test in OCCT or Aida64 so you can get some temps without the 390 heatsoaking.

Never thought of window tinting, wil take a look into this.

Not sure I don't use the Corsair Link software (will install and check)

I'm not sure what the problem is but 1 minute the temps are low 70's next there hitting 90's. All today my max temps were 72 degress. Now they shoot straight above 90 degrees.

Have noticed the AIO is making a squeeking noise for a few seconds

Have installed the Corsair Link software, also cleared CMOS so everything is stock.
Room temp is currently 24.4°Celcius.

Just to update, looks like I was right about the H115i being faulty.

I got a replacement from where I purchased and is now working well.

Room temp is 27.6°C and my max temps after running Aida64 for 2 hours is 64° (Overclock to 4.2Ghz)

Did your Triton ever leak? I remember you had one.

Yep. It didn't do any damage apart from a couple of drops on the graphics card, luckily on a sticker.

Could have been worse, some of them cracked letting go of a lot of fluid, mine seeped from where the power cable went into the housing.

Shame because the cooling and looks were excellent, just the acrylic housing wasn't up to the job.

When I got mine it developed a crack in the res as well, Must have caught it in time because there was no leakage yet, Very poor build material on the Triton it reflects the price I guess.

Just ordered the EK Fluid WC kit with the 360 rad hope it's good.
