Hi,

My build just died on me and wont power back on. After some inspection it looks like it is a power supply problem. 1 of the pins on the 24 pin connector has burnt out.

I have contacted Corsair but my question is what is their customer service usually like

I hope it is the power supply cos thats easier to fix than other problems. dont have a spare to try it out.

Isn't Corsair's RMA centre in the Netherlands?

It might be cheaper to return it to the retailer if that's an option.

You should also ask the retailer to refund your postage.

I'm not sure if Corsair refund postage for a direct RMA.

No refunds of postage, but they pay for shipping back. Issuing a ticket number also took days.....
Last Corsair PSU that died, I junked. Simply not worth paying the £18 to post the damn thing back to the Netherlands if it's not a high-end unit.

1. Yes it is.

2. Depends on the retailers RMA procedure as regards Corsair.

3. three hopes (slim, bob & none) :p

Corsair warranty information. said:
You may be required to pay shipping and handling charges, as well as any applicable tariffs, duties, taxes, or other fees.

Had to return my AX850 and braided cable set for replacement - not a good experience for me.They take ages to respond to e mails and drag their feet a bit, but they do get there in the end - took me a month to get sorted.
Overall very frustrating and expensive - cost me nearly £40 to send the items back.

In future I may be a bit wary of Corsair - their service and quality seems as though it may have slipped in quality - a shame really.

Well just called overclockers and they have advised that I would have to claim off the surge protector as it is that which is to blame.

sounds like a cop out.

Overclockers statement is not entirely innacurate - although I feel corsair should still replace it,unless the damage was caused by some careless or deliberate means. You could still try a claim with the surge protector company as most advertise that your equipment is insured whilst the surge protector is being used.

I had a couple of issues returning a H100, and a PSU. With the H100 it was the 3rd time returning it and I ended up using the retailer as they were UK based. With the PSU the issue was returning it to them without paying stupid shipping costs, Corsair eventually had a UPS guy come and pick it up for me, they even included a box to send it back in. Great service though overall compared to other companies. However, the 3rd product I had an issue with from Corsair was my 600T, some of the panels didn't line up properly and there was a very small gap between the panels and the side panel. Instead of going through the trouble of working out the cause and shipping all sorts of parts they just sent me a brand new 600T for free.

If you cannot return it to the retailer in the UK or they have awful RMA processes then go for Corsair, but you may have to try and force shipping out of them.

Call corsair tell them your psu blew they will replace simple.

massive cop out by OCUK, the retailer i.e ocuk is liable under sale of goods act, so I would make them do something about it

OcUK are not liable if the product was damaged by another product. If your closed loop CPU cooler leaked and broke the GPU you bought from OcUK, it would not then be down to OcUK to replace the GPU.

If that of course is what happened (Surge protector failing).

Then inform the company that makes the surge protector and tell them you want replacements for anything that broke.

Hey buddy they never even asked for my Serial number from the description i gave of the problem (coil whine)

They just said send it to us and we will replace it.

Simple as that lol within 24 hours of sending them an express Rma request.

ok so I have my RMA information but what it doesnt tell me is if I need to package all of the product up, including the modular cables or just the PSU itself?
