Corsair Force3 suddenly full

While browsing the forums today I suddenly got an error message saying my 120gb CF3 has 0% free space.

CCC, firefox and other programs can't run (obviously due to lack of system space) but windows still boots fine.

It was running at about 90gb empty a few days ago. Total files on the drive add up to 27gb roughly.

It's been running no problems since just before xmas.

Is it RMA time? Has it just suddenly inexplicably filled up with indexing/system restore files from nowhere? I'm sure I turned off indexing & system restore on this disk.

I got it from OCUK in December 2011 and I assume it's still under warranty :(

Use that to scan the drive and see what's taking up the space.

Thanks but it's sorted. I traced it to a dodgy log file from the latest HTC sync update that was 90gb (took up all available space on the disc)

It was a text file. Something went very wrong there....

Incidentally it was located in C:\Users\*user*\Appdata\Roaming\HTC\Logs

In case anyone else anywhere on the net gets the same problem.

I see it's fixed now, but alternatively, use spacemonger, also nicely shows what is taking up your valuable space :).

Since I deleted the file earlier it's now grown again to 10.3gb.

Not happy. Deleting and reinstalling the program. I use it to access the internet tethering through my phone as it's unlimited data and about 10 x the speed of my parents sky broadband.

Edit - After a delete and reinstall it started doing the same thing. 5gb text file in 10 mins. Just uninstalled the program now. Only need the drivers to tether so that's ok at least. Stupid HTC with their buggy software.

Hehe, I just use Wifi hotspot for tethering, no drivers or any 3rd party software needed :).
Silly though how it creates such logfiles.
