when i press the fan speed button on the corsair the fan speed does not change? its always very quiet. both fans are spinning i get around 46c max on prime 95 at stock oc/volts at full load! how do i make the fans spin louder/faster. want to know if tthey actually work. also when i boot up the pc they are loud for a few seconds .then go quiet again

thanks

;)
(i hope i made sense)

I agree if your uncertain send it back although it's possible your not hitting the temps to cause the fan profiles to increase speed.

Mine operates exactly as you describe.

Pressing the button doesn't increase speed, but afaik enables the higher profile.

Run prime in the lower setting (one light on pump) let the temps creep up to say 60c and the click it.

If you don't notice a change instantly I'd query it.

if i hold in the control button for a few secs thne let go it goes blank and goes to what i think is high performance mode for a few secs then it goes back to before.. hmm

i reset the h100 , and now its all working perfect. the fan speeds ramp up a lot more when getting to higher temps like 55c etc.

thanks for help!

:)

Afaik you press and hold the button on top of the pump for a few seconds, the lights should flash then it's reset.

I tried the "official" corsair reset proceedure for the H100 which is as follows:

1) Hold button on H100 for 5 secs.
2) Wait 1 minute and shut down PC.
3) Hold button for 5 secs while rebooting PC.

Did all this multiple times but I still have the problem that even on the max setting the fans don't seem to spin up even under prime95 after 30 mins.

I get temps around 60 degress on full load after 30 mins with 4.6 overclock at 1.34 volts.

Thing is when I'm gaming I hear the fans go right up to max speed sometimes :/

I heard that the H100 fans will only start to speed up when the coolant liquid gets hot though.

Not sure whats going on tbh.

Are you 100% sure you have the fan profile in the highest mode, I think its called performance. I think its all 3 light sectors lit, 1 being the lowest and none being custom.

As if its one of the other profiles you may not even hear the fans speeding up as they cap out at a lower RPM.
