Hello everyone!
After a bit of advise
First of all apologies but I will try to clarify my points as best as I can.
I have an Asus P8P67 Pro motherboard with my i5 2500k.
I have this built in a Corsair 750D case with 2x intake Fans at the front (stock fans) 1 rear AF140 Silent exhaust fan, 1 SP120 Quiet intake at the base of the case, and 1x AF140 mounted on the top of the case.
My cooler is the old Noctua NH-U12P with 1 Fan.
Due to positions of the fan headers on my motherboard and to keep the cables neat I ordered a Phanteks PWM hub.
This is mounted on the rear of my case and all of my case fans (inc. CPU fan) are connected to this hub. This hub is powered by a Sata power connector and connects to the PWM CPU header on my motherboard.
The fans in the case all ramp up and down depending on load.
However I have a Corsair H105 on its way to replace my Noctua NH-U12P.
I plan on using 2xSP120 fans on the rad and mounting this to the top case!
However due to the power cables and requirements of the H105 I need to connect the fans to a PWM header and connect the pump part to provide full power?
As the Phanteks hub (to my knowledge) can only run fans at either full speed or based off the speed from the connection to the PWM.
Basically what I am asking is the best way to configure what I have to get it to work?
Connect the H105 to the PWM and let the fans ramp up and down as required, and leave all other case fans running on full via the hub?
Or can I plug the radiator fans into the hub? and leave this running via the PWM port?
If the above makes any sense well done and I will give the person who makes me understand this an internet cookie
